Senior Researcher

Aston Fisher is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Senior Researcher to join its growing executive search team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven recruitment professional to work closely with senior leadership, delivering high-level search assignments across sectors including Industrials and Life Sciences.

You will play a key role in identifying and engaging top-tier talent, managing multiple executive search projects, and contributing valuable market intelligence that supports both client success and business growth. This role offers the opportunity to work with respected UK-based businesses while developing your expertise in retained search and talent mapping.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver multiple executive search assignments simultaneously

  • Partner with Client Partners to prepare client briefs, competency screeners, and advert copy

  • Develop longlists and talent pipelines by identifying target companies and high-calibre candidates

  • Engage and approach prospective candidates through telephone outreach, LinkedIn, email, and other sourcing tools

  • Conduct technical competency-based candidate interviews

  • Generate candidate shortlists aligned to client requirements and competencies

  • Gather market intelligence and competitor insights to support business development activity

  • Maintain accurate candidate records within the company CRM/database

  • Coordinate interview scheduling and manage feedback processes between clients and candidates

  • Produce detailed candidate reports and market mapping documentation

  • Support offer management and candidate negotiation processes

  • Contribute ideas and best practices to improve search delivery and team performance

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous recruitment experience within executive search, retained search, or interim recruitment

  • Strong experience conducting candidate assessment interviews

  • Proven ability to independently generate candidate longlists and shortlists

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Confidence interacting with senior executives and stakeholders

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning and professional development

  • Experience within Industrials or Life Sciences sectors would be advantageous but is not essential

  • Proficiency using LinkedIn Recruiter and recruitment sourcing tools

  • Reliable laptop/computer and stable high-speed internet connection
