DCS is looking for a Senior Research Physicist to support research, development and testing of Infrared countermeasure (IRCM) technologies.
Essential Job Functions:
Design and test laboratory apparatus used to characterize optical and electrical systems.
Optical design and assembly
Electronics design and assembly
Develop test concepts, write test plans and assist with laboratory and field tests to include integration of systems into test aircraft.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
PHD and 10 years experience in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering.
TS/SCI clearance (or eligibility).
Must possess a deep knowledge and understanding of Navy IRCM systems, airworthiness requirements and processes, aircraft integration, range requirements, safety processes including laser safety, data collection systems, and data analysis.
