
The Cohen lab at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is looking for a creative and ambitious candidate who is interested in using their chemistry training to expand our recent developments in chemical genetics and proteomics of PARPs and ADP-ribosylation. This is a fully funded position. The wide breadth of research topics and techniques in the Cohen lab makes it an excellent interdisciplinary training environment. Our team is highly collaborative and interactive, so excellent written and oral communication skills are highly desired.

PhD in relevant field AND 1 year of relevant experience; OR
Master's Degree in relevant field AND 5 years of relevant experience; OR
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field AND 9 years of relevant experience.
Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and oral formats.
Ability to work both independently and with others in a positive and productive manner.
Experience with making laboratory solutions and keeping experimental records.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
High level of self-motivation and integrity.
Organizational skills and careful attention to details to satisfactorily perform job duties.
At least 5 years of demonstrated proficiency operating independently in a research laboratory setting.
5+ years of synthetic organic chemistry experience.
Expertise in the synthesis of complex.
First-author publications.
Working hours of this position may vary but are mostly Monday-Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, with occasional after hour and weekend work required. Location is the OHSU Marquam Campus in Portland, Oregon. Work is performed in an open lab with a variety of research activity in the general vicinity.
