Details of the role
A Senior Research Associate (Level B) will contribute to the design, implementation, analysis and dissemination of clinical, epidemiological, and public health research focused on viral hepatitis (hepatitis B and hepatitis C), prison health, injecting drug use, and other priority populations. The position holder will be involved in research projects from inception through to completion and dissemination, with a primary focus on quantitative data analysis, interpretation of findings, and scientific manuscript development and publication.
The successful candidate will be expected to work both as part of a team and independently, while receiving strategic scientific mentorship and support. The position contributes to a portfolio of observational epidemiological studies, surveillance systems, cohort studies, and analyses of large clinical and administrative datasets. This opportunity offers the chance to lead end-to-end research initiatives—from designing studies and conducting advanced statistical analyses through to publishing impactful findings. The role of Senior Research Associate reports to the Associate Professor and has no direct reports.
