Senior / Research Assistant (One position) (25260680)

We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative research project on developing a Chinese Medicine Core Competence Framework in Hong Kong.

This project is coordinated by the School of Chinese Medicine at Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU), in collaboration with the School of Chinese Medicine at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Recognising the critical role of public health perspectives in shaping healthcare, this project offers a unique platform to establish a comprehensive undergraduate training framework for Chinese medicine practitioners, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary collaboration.

We are currently seeking a motivated Research Assistant to join our team.

The project involves the following research methodologies:

  1. Systematic Review: Synthesising local and international literature from the past decade regarding competency requirements for healthcare professionals;
  2. Stakeholder Engagement: Conducting multi-round focus group discussions and public consultations to gather professional opinions; and
  3. Delphi Method: Adopting a formal consensus-building process to finalise the framework with an expert panel.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with systematic reviews and data synthesis;
  • Supporting the organisation and facilitation of focus groups and public consultation meetings;
  • Aiding in the preparation and administration of Delphi questionnaire surveys;
  • Providing administrative and logistical support for research meetings and academic symposia; and
  • Contributing to the drafting and editing of research reports and academic publications.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related discipline;
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team;
  • Prior experience in research projects, particularly those involving qualitative and quantitative data collection, is a distinct advantage.
