What You Will Do

  • Execute end-to-end competitive intelligence and market research assignments, from intake of business questions through delivery of final outputs.
  • Perform secondary qualitative and quantitative research using publicly available and open-source information.
  • Develop executive-ready deliverables, including summaries, briefing materials, presentations, tables, and dashboards.
  • Support business development, proposal, and pricing teams through competitor analysis, Black Hat assessments, client profiling, and RFP research.
  • Monitor and analyze competitive and market activity, including contract awards, leadership changes, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, certifications, and geographic expansion.
  • Research government programs, funding mechanisms, regulatory developments, and industry trends aligned to Guidehouse priority sectors.
  • Synthesize complex data into clear, concise, and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple concurrent requests while maintaining accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Contribute to research process improvement, standardization, and knowledge management initiatives.
  • Leverage and support adoption of automation and AI-enabled research tools to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and incorporate feedback into refined deliverables.
  • Provide informal guidance and quality review support to junior analysts, as required.


What You Will Need

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 3-4 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market research, consulting research, strategy support, or a related analytical role.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership, sales, business development, proposal, or pursuit teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in secondary research methodologies using open-source and publicly available data.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to apply analytical judgment, maintain attention to detail, and deliver under tight deadlines.


What Would Be Nice To Have

  • Exposure to or strong interest in research automation, workflow optimization, or AI-enabled tools (e.g., Power Automate, Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, research platforms).
  • Consulting or advisory mindset with strong business and commercial acumen.
  • High level of curiosity regarding market trends, competitors, and customer behavior.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and proactively anticipate stakeholder needs.
  • Consistent demonstration of professionalism, data quality, and clarity of insights.
  • Strong collaboration skills, adaptability, and receptiveness to feedback.
