Job Description

Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Reporting Analyst, Governance & Prescriptive Analytics

What’s the role?

You’ll be part of Westpac’s Model Risk Governance team, helping shape how model risk is understood, reported and managed across the Group. This role is about turning complex information into clear, meaningful insights that support good decision making.

In your day to day, you’ll develop and improve model risk reports, dashboards and governance artefacts that are used by senior leaders and forums. You’ll look for ways to strengthen controls, uplift reporting and make information easier for model owners and stakeholders to understand and use. You’ll also contribute to templates, guidance and training materials that support the Group Model Risk Policy.

This is a full-time role based in Sydney, working closely with a collaborative risk team that values curiosity, clear thinking and practical outcomes.

What do I need?

You’ll have experience working in risk or governance environments and enjoy turning complex information into clear, useful insights. To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in model risk management, governance, compliance, regulatory or related risk roles.
  • Confidence working with model risk metrics and dashboards, through tools such as PowerBI or Alteryx, for reporting to senior leaders, committees or forums.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate, well‑structured reporting and model risk insights.
  • Clear communication skills and a logical, curious approach to problem‑solving.
  • A proactive, can‑do mindset, with the ability to work collaboratively as well as independently when needed.
