We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Senior Repair Centre Engineer to join our Service & Repair team in India. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of repair centre activities, including diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of medical devices. You will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality service delivery, adherence to regulatory standards, and timely turnaround of equipment, ultimately contributing to enhanced customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosis, Troubleshooting, and Repair of Medical Devices: As a Senior Repair Centre Engineer, you will take ownership of evaluating and resolving technical issues related to medical devices by performing detailed diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Preventive Maintenance and Functional Testing: You will conduct preventive maintenance and functional testing in line with company standards and global best practices.
  • Turnaround Time Management and Service Efficiency: A key aspect of your role will be to ensure that all repair activities are completed within defined turnaround times, while maintaining the highest levels of quality and compliance.
  • Documentation and Reporting Compliance: You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive documentation of all repair activities, including test results, reports, and service records, in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Quality Assurance and Regulatory Adherence: You will ensure strict adherence to all applicable quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Global Technical Collaboration and Support: In cases involving complex technical issues, you will collaborate closely with global technical support teams to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Spare Parts Inventory Management: Additionally, you will manage spare parts inventory, ensuring proper tracking, utilization, and availability to support repair activities.
  • Installation, Calibration, and Validation Support: You may also be required to support installation, calibration, and validation activities as needed.
  • Safety Compliance and Policy Adherence: You will be expected to follow all company safety protocols, policies, and procedures at all times.

Special Tasks: From time to time, you may be assigned additional responsibilities, including project-based tasks, depending on business needs. These assignments are temporary in nature and do not constitute entitlement to a higher position or additional compensation.

Supervision: This position will report to the Manager, Service & Repair.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • More than 7 years of experience in medical device repair/service (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working in a service centre environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
  • Understanding of validation and qualification processes.
  • Experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations.
  • Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT systems.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Ability to follow company procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
