Senior Reliability Design Engineer
An experienced Senior Reliability & Robust Design Engineer to lead reliability engineering activities for next-generation PCCT hardware development. The role is responsible for driving Design for Reliability (DfR), Design for Robustness (DfX), risk-based engineering, and life-cycle performance optimization throughout the product development process.
Your role:
Define and deploy Design for Reliability (DfR) methodology throughout product development.
Establish reliability requirements and reliability growth plans.
Develop reliability predictions, reliability allocation models and reliability target flowdown.
Lead reliability reviews from concept through commercialization.
Drive reliability risk identification and mitigation activities.
Apply robust design methodologies to reduce sensitivity to manufacturing variation, environmental stress, and component tolerances.
Develop design margins and derating strategies.
Ensure adequate robustness against thermal, mechanical, electrical, and operational stresses.
Promote first-time-right design philosophy.
Define reliability verification strategy, reliability testing plan, establish reliability demonstration tests.
Drive root cause investigations for failures identified during testing by leveraging relevant tools, i.e., Weibull, failure tree analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, DOE, etc.
You're the right fit if:
Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
10+ years of engineering experience.
5+ years leading reliability engineering activities for complex hardware products (CT, MR, X-ray, Radiotherapy).
Demonstrated success implementing Design for Reliability and Robust Design methodologies in new product development cycle.
Ability to influence design decisions and drive reliability improvements across global cross-functional teams.
Working knowledge of ISO13485, EU MDR, FDA 21 CFR, ISO14971.
Strong and practical knowledge of DFMEA, problem solving, Design For Six Sigma (GB/BB) certified candidates is preferred.
Good English communication skills (both verbal and written) required.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
