Job Description


City:

NYC/ Seattle, WA preferred, Glendale, CA
Onsite/ Hybrid/ Remote:

Hybrid (2-4 days a week onsite)
Duration

: CTH- 24 months
Rate Range

: Up to$64/hr on W2 depending on experience (no C2C or 1099 or sub-contract)
Work Authorization

: GC, USC, All valid EADs except OPT, CPT, H1B


Must Have:


  • 3+ years hands-on Release Management for production launches (mobile, web, or CTV)

  • Experience owning end-to-end release lifecycle (planning, cut, validation, rollout, hotfix)

  • Android release pipeline experience (for one role) and/or CTV/Smart TV (Chromecast, Samsung/Tizen, etc.) (for one role)

  • Proficiency with Atlassian Jira & Confluence for tracking and documentation

  • Familiarity with Airtable (or willingness to adopt) for release tracking and reporting

  • Competence with CI/CD concepts, versioning, branching, tagging, and rollout strategies

  • Ability to define and report release health/quality metrics (e.g., failure rates, rollback rates, MTTR)

  • Tools: Office365/PowerPoint/Keynote; collaboration via Microsoft Teams


Responsibilities:


  • Centralize and execute release coordination and communications across multiple platforms.

  • Build, refine, and run repeatable release plans, calendars, playbooks, and checklists.

  • Own risk/dep identification and mitigation; enforce entry/exit criteria for releases.

  • Serve as the “source of truth” for release status; publish timely stakeholder updates.

  • Drive metrics for quality and operational excellence; promote data-informed decisions.

  • Integrate across Product Design, Program/Project Management, and Engineering to streamline delivery.

  • Standardize templates, comms paths, and tooling for multi-team clarity and speed.

  • Conduct tactical and strategic analyses to improve throughput and reduce incidents.

  • Mentor peers on best practices; lead upskilling sessions for consistent deployments.

  • Provide backfill coverage for adjacent platform releases as needed.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years relevant experience (minimum 3+ years in Release Management or closely related roles).

  • Backgrounds considered: Release Manager, QA Manager, Release Engineer, Product/Project/Delivery Manager, or Lead Developer with release ownership.

  • Strong stakeholder management with the ability to diplomatically enforce process and scope.

  • Exceptional attention to detail; proven track record preventing/handling hotfix scenarios.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication; clear status reporting to senior audiences.

  • High ownership, self-starter, and comfort operating in evolving processes.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification (strong plus).

  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or equivalent agile certification.

  • Prior experience establishing or maturing release management in complex, cross-platform environments.

  • Familiarity with Android and/or CTV ecosystem release nuances; web release generalist experience.

Three openings supporting distinct platform areas:

  1. Android

    (senior; mobile experience required; East Coast alignment preferred).

  2. CTV/Smart TV (BBD)

    (senior; Chromecast/Samsung TV/Tizen experience).

  3. Web Generalist

    (broader backfill coverage; does not need to be as senior).
