The Senior Relationship Management Coordinator plays an important role in supporting the business development efforts of the Relationship Managers through sales support and research activities of prospects and clients. Through continual hands-on training and support/direction from the manager, the Senior Relationship Management Coordinator is expected to proactively study the Investor Services industry and the BBH sales, relationship management, and operational processes and organizations, with the possibility of assuming the role of a Relationship Manager or other client servicing roles in due course.

The Senior Relationship Management Coordinator plays an important role in the research and presentation of BBH practices, data and trends to assist in the completion of Request for Proposal documents. This individual will also support strategic marketing and sales enablement initiatives for specific Investor Services products, services, and segments for our Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing offices. Working closely with the Marketing Managers, Asia Relationship Management, and Sales teams they will help plan and execute a consistently high level of internal and external marketing, sales support, and communications. This individual will also work with the Marketing Managers to support marketing campaigns, helping to research ideas for the plan and budget, and ensure successful execution over the course of the year. This will involve support with messaging, materials, translation, conferences and events, content/thought leadership, social and PR activities.

This individual should be an excellent communicator in both Japanese and English (verbal, written) with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. The role will be supported by central resources in the areas of relationship management shared services, marketing operations, creative design, social & digital marketing, public relations (PR) and content/thought leadership.

Responsibilities

Relationship Management Support

  • Assist with relationship management / business development efforts
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed proposals for Investor Services solutions, including but not limited to responses to requests for information and proposals for review by Relationship Manager
  • Attend client meetings and calls with Relationship Managers
  • Responsible for creating, editing and monitoring all client account documentation within the team
  • Supports various ad hoc projects to document legal and operational requirements of clients
  • Production support for external client and prospect presentations as well as internal management reporting

Research and Analysis

  • Identify, recommend and create new tools for defining prospects
  • Under supervision, create pro-forma profitability and revenue projections for new business bids for existing and new clients
  • Conduct and present detailed market and specific company research, including detailed profiling of prospects’ businesses to identify current service providers, estimates of current fees, and product details for review by Relationship Manager
  • Remain knowledgeable of changing industry initiatives
  • Various other ad hoc assignments, including financial modeling with direction from manager

Strategic Product/Segment Marketing

  • Support the Marketing Managers to execute a targeted, insight-led marketing strategy and budget for our Asia markets, together with key business stakeholders, and monitor and adjust as appropriate throughout the year.
  • Help localize internal and external messaging and talking points to arm client facing individuals in the Asia based offices
  • Create and help enhance sales/marketing collateral and tools for Sales, Relationship Managers, and Product teams to educate clients and prospects on our capabilities.
  • Work together with the business teams to complete competitive analyses of products, services, collateral, & websites
  • Support any new product launches for Asia markets coordinating with local and global product experts and the relevant Marketing Managers in Europe and the US to identify message points that resonate in Asia.
  • Identify relevant industry or product-specific conferences and design high quality events (such as roundtables, webinars, hospitality events) that will serve as key channels for our spokespeople and messages, working closely with the Marketing Managers and Global Conferences and Events Manager and local Enterprise Services teams.
  • With support from Marketing Managers, help localize our content/thought leadership program leveraging the centralized content/thought leadership discipline.
  • Help provide copy for the web/Marketo publishing forms and Creative Services requests.
  • Work with our Head of Social Media to promote our brand and raise our content through establish social media channels (primarily LinkedIn) and help with localization and translation for Asia markets
  • Be a liaison point for the local PR strategy in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing, working closely with our Global PR Manager and local PR agency, coordinating translation where required.
  • Event planning, organization and coordination support.

Sales Enablement

  • Participate, together with the local Relationship Managers and the global Marketing Managers, in pitch and deal teams for key client and prospects in Asia, assisting the group with our story/how we set BBH apart from the competition and clearly communicate client benefits, as well as creating materials/videos to support the pitch
  • Coordinate directly with other Marketing Managers, subject matter experts, Sales and Product contacts in the development of customized and localized sales collateral, including managing any translation required
  • Provide ongoing maintenance of sales presentations and other marketing collateral such as brochures, product sheets, etc. and ensure they are updated on Seismic and translated where required
  • Help create case studies on our client successes to use as sales tools.

Compliance

  • Work with Global Marketing core areas and local Compliance to ensure a coordinated approach to approval of all external marketing and sales materials.

Education level and/or relevant experience(s)

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales / marketing role is an essential requirement
  • Foundational knowledge of the financial services industry is also a requirement
  • Experience in the global asset management and/or asset servicing industry and/or institutional banking would be a strong advantage

Desired knowledge and skills:

  • Oral and written fluency in Japanese and English is required
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach and strong sense of accountability for projects undertaken
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables with tight deadlines
  • Ability to build strong and sustainable relationships with key stakeholders to be able to drive consensus and outcomes, and to thrive in a highly collaborative, global team.
  • Highly effective service and relationship management skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills with strong presentation skills
  • Detail oriented with proven ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage own workload and trouble shoot problems
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills required, particularly in PowerPoint. Knowledge of Salesforce, Seismic, Marketo, and monday.com (or comparable work management platforms) would be an advantage.
