The Senior Regional Sales Director will be responsible for leading Spine growth sales initiatives within the assigned region made up of District Managers, sales representative, and strategic spine tech sales. The goal is to lead the region by integrating a “one team” culture of sales reps who have expertise in spine surgery and enabling technologies. This leader is expected to know how to work cross functionally with business partners and the customers to meet the sales and business objectives. This will include the planning, development, and organization of team strategies, execution plans, and performance management as it relates to market and account strategies.

This is a field-based position in the Great Lakes Region and covering the surrounding area of Ohio, Michigan and Illinois. 50% travel is expected for this role.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead the cross training and change management to operationalize team
  • Owns the adoption of new surgical approaches and procedures within the region by targeted deployment of the strategic spine tech sales reps to work territory to reps and make the territory reps self-sufficient within a reasonable time-frame
  • Works with the Spine AVP to develop strategy and tactics to gain share in the region and thoughtfully deploys the strategic tech sales teams to open competitive surgeons in collaboration with the territory sales team and district managers
  • Focus on new revenue generation at key strategic and growth opportunity accounts through execution of Sales, Marketing and Medical Education resources
  • Instrumental in the sale and adoption for robotic assisted spine surgery
  • Collaborates cross functionally to achieve revenue and unit goals in capital sales
  • Provides growth opportunities for the regional team and brings in new hi-potential talent
  • Establishes relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and administrative customers
  • Champions Inclusion and Diversity programs to ensure full team engagement
  • Ensures adherence to the MDT Quality Systems
  • This leader will also represent the company in accordance with its policies, maintaining an awareness of market and competitive conditions for strategic planning while reporting directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 15+ years of relevant medical sales experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 13 years of relevant medical sales experience, minimum of 10 years of managerial experience
  • Spine experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience managing and growing strategic customer relationships within healthcare, medical device, or related industries
  • Prior people leadership experience, including direct talent management within the last 3 years
  • Proven success developing and executing strategic business plans to drive growth, market share, and customer value
  • Demonstrated ability to build, cultivate, and maintain executive-level relationships with customers, physicians, and internal stakeholders
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze complex business challenges and develop customized solutions
  • Experience leading within complex, matrixed organizations and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority
  • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and customer performance management skills, with a track record of achieving strategic business outcomes
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence senior leaders, develop talent, and achieve results through others
  • Experience managing human and financial resources to support business objectives
  • Advanced proficiency with business technology, data analytics tools, CRM platforms, and customer-facing presentation development
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills, including the ability to deliver complex business reviews and executive-level presentations
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems, hospital operations, and healthcare economics
  • Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to lead organizational change and drive adoption of new strategies and initiatives

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$200,000 - $200,000

This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
