About the position
Reporting to the Regional Assistant Director, Outreach and Engagement, the Senior Regional Representative, located in Montreal Quebec, is one of four such positions across Canada. Senior Regional Representatives are responsible for developing business relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders and identifying emerging currency related issues and areas for growth in the region. This position works with their senior level counterparts across the country, and as a team, are responsible for delivering outreach activities and promoting awareness of bank notes and currency initiatives.
What you will do
As the Senior Regional Representative, you will build strong relationships with key external stakeholders—such as law enforcement, financial institutions, retailers, and civil society groups. These partnerships will help you monitor regional trends and support the Currency Department’s education and compliance goals.
You will gather and analyze data on issues like counterfeiting, cash usage, and bank note quality, and support the rollout of new bank notes through regional events and media engagement.
You’ll contribute to regional strategic planning, work with other departments to align efforts, and support senior visits by coordinating local engagement. You will also take part in cross-departmental projects and keep leadership informed of emerging trends to support timely decision-making.

Your education and experience
The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Business, Communications, Criminology, Public Administration), with a minimum of eight years of work experience in such discipline. We may also consider a combination of education and experience.

Language requirement
The Bank’s work environment is conducive to the use of both of Canada’s official languages - English and French. The position language requirement is Level 5 (Fully Functional). If a qualified candidate who meets the language requirement of the position is not found, a qualified candidate who does not meet the language requirement may be considered. Training may be provided to help reach the required level. Both bilingual and unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Hybrid Work Model
The Bank offers work arrangements that provide employees with flexibility, enable high-performing teams, and support an excellent workplace culture. Most employees can telework from home for a portion of each month as part of the Bank’s hybrid work model, and they are expected on site at the Bank location a minimum of 12 days per month to help build connections between colleagues. You must live in Canada, and within reasonable commuting distance of the office.
