As our new Senior Refrigeration Control Specialist, you will develop advanced control algorithms for embedded controllers that help customers improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions Your work will directly contribute to creating more sustainable technology.


You’ll help shape the future of green technology by translating complex system challenges into innovative, practical control solutions for a wide range of refrigeration and HVAC applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your role will focus on turning system challenges into practical control solutions. You'll work closely with software, product, and application specialists to refine requirements, develop algorithms, and improve how our embedded controllers perform in real-world applications.

  • You will design and develop effective control algorithms and software architectures using model-based design techniques to enhance the performance of our embedded controllers
  • You will apply your knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration to help create new, energy-efficient solutions for refrigeration systems, heat pumps, and HVAC applications
  • You will collaborate closely with our talented software developers and application experts— building a strong network across Danfoss—to define requirements and bring valuable solutions to life
  • Your expertise will be key in translating complex system challenges into robust, practical control solutions that improve system efficiency, reliability, and sustainability
  • You will contribute fresh insights into refrigeration and control technology, helping to continuously improve our product offerings for our customers

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for someone with a degree in an engineering field (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Software) and a passion for creating sustainable technology.

We believe the best solutions come from diverse expertise, so we are looking for a candidate with deep knowledge in one of the core areas below, some familiarity with another, and the curiosity to grow in the third:

  • Control Engineering: A background in developing control algorithms and applying control theory, ideally for industrial automation, HVAC, or refrigeration systems
  • Refrigeration & Thermodynamics: Knowledge of refrigeration systems, heat pumps, and the underlying thermodynamic principles
  • Embedded Software Development: Experience developing software for embedded systems, with familiarity in languages like C/C++ or IEC 61131-3

We also value:
• Familiarity with model-based design tools like MATLAB/Simulink
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with a desire to work in a cross-functional team and share your knowledge with others
