Tradewind Australia is seeking an experienced Senior Recruitment Consultant to join our Social Services division in Melbourne. This role will suit a full 360 agency recruiter who enjoys developing strong client relationships, building candidate networks and driving new business opportunities within a purpose-driven sector, expanding Tradewind’s presence in the NSW social services market.

  • Experience working as a Recruitment Consultant within an agency environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously

About the Role

This is a full 360 recruitment role focused on developing and managing client relationships while delivering high-quality recruitment outcomes. Based in Melbourne, you will work closely with organisations across the social and community services sector, supporting them to secure talented professionals who make a meaningful difference in the community.

A key focus of the role will be developing new business opportunities and expanding Tradewind’s presence in the New South Wales market, while also managing recruitment campaigns and building strong candidate networks. You will be supported by an experienced national team and strong internal systems while having the autonomy to develop your own client relationships and recruitment pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify and secure new client opportunities across the sector
  • Develop relationships with prospective organisations through calls, meetings and networking
  • Prepare recruitment proposals and service agreements
  • Contribute to expanding Tradewind’s presence within the NSW market

Client & Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with organisations across the social services sector
  • Conduct vacancy briefings and manage recruitment campaigns
  • Deliver high-quality candidate shortlists within agreed timeframes
  • Provide market insight and recruitment advice to clients

Recruitment & Candidate Management

  • Source, screen and interview candidates for a range of roles across the sector
  • Manage the candidate journey from application through to placement
  • Provide interview preparation and post-placement support
  • Develop and maintain strong candidate networks and talent pipelines

Systems & Process

  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM and internal systems
  • Ensure recruitment activity and communication are documented appropriately
  • Contribute to team initiatives and recruitment campaigns

Community Services Sector

Community – Case managers, Youth workers, Support Workers, Community Engagement officers, Rosterers, Personal care workers, NDIS Coordinators, Counsellors, COVID rollout – HRAR Program staff, COVID testing & vaccination nurses and admin

Allied health – Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Physiotherapists, Nurses

Corporate Services – Leadership, Management and Executive roles including CEO & CFO, Finance, Accountants, Accounts Payable/Receivable, IT, HR, Marketing, Lawyers
