The Role We Want You For

As a Senior Recruiting Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting Clayco’s recruiting efforts across our architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) disciplines. You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and the broader Talent Management team to coordinate recruiting activities, engage prospective candidates, and deliver exceptional candidate experience.

In this role, you will take ownership of key components of the recruiting process, including candidate sourcing, initial screenings, interview coordination, applicant tracking, offer support, and recruiting events. You will also have opportunities to manage select searches and continue developing your full-cycle recruiting capabilities.

You will manage candidates through every stage of the hiring process while serving as a strategic partner to hiring managers and enterprise leaders. As one of the first points of contact for potential employees, you will play a critical role in shaping the candidate’s experience and representing Clayco’s brand in the market.

This is a highly visible, on-site role that partners closely with leadership to support the continued growth.

The Specifics of the Role

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for architecture, engineering, and construction positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand position requirements and hiring needs.
  • Source and engage active and passive candidates across AEC talent markets.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs.
  • Recruit for positions including architects, designers, engineers, project managers, and field professionals.
  • Conduct candidate screenings and help identify qualified talent.
  • Coordinate interviews and manage candidate communication throughout the hiring process.
  • Create and post job descriptions designed to reach appropriate talent pools.
  • Maintain accurate candidate information within the applicant tracking system and recruiting databases.
  • Conduct reference checks and assist with the offer process.
  • Coordinate candidate travel as needed.
  • Support onboarding and new-hire orientation activities.
  • Participate in college recruiting, career fairs, and other recruiting events.
  • Develop relationships with candidates and help maintain talent pipelines for future opportunities. Support college recruiting initiatives.

Requirements

  • 1–4 years of recruiting, talent acquisition, or related experience; experience recruiting within architecture, engineering, construction, or other technical industries is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Human Resource Management, Business, or related major.
  • Strong understanding of AEC talent markets and competitive landscape.
  • Strong ability to source and engage passive candidates in competitive markets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems.
  • Proven history of conducting effective and proactive recruiting efforts.
  • Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel for events and campus recruiting as needed.
