Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Reconciliation & Settlement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily reconciliation and settlement activities for card payments and consumer finance transactions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
What you will do
- Perform daily reconciliation of card transactions (Visa, Meeza, etc.) across internal systems, banks, and payment gateways.
- Monitor settlement activities for POS, ATM, e-commerce, and consumer finance transactions.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, failed transactions, and unmatched entries.
- Coordinate with banks, payment processors, and internal finance teams to ensure timely settlements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation and settlement reports.
- Handle chargebacks, refunds, reversals, and disputed transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and audit requirements.
- Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and reduce operational risks.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in reconciliation, settlements, banking operations, card payments, or consumer finance.
Strong understanding of payment systems, card schemes, and settlement processes.
Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial controls.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reconciliation systems.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience in fintech, banking, or consumer finance is a plus.
