Babcock is looking for a Senior Receptionist/Administrator to join the team based in Devonport, Auckland

About the role

Join Babcock New Zealand as a Senior Receptionist/Administrator and become the pivotal first point of contact for employees, customers, suppliers, and Defence stakeholders. This is far more than a traditional reception role, offering broad exposure across administration, events, travel coordination, finance support, facilities management, and executive support activities. You'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy and professional workplace.

Working closely with the Executive Assistant, you'll have the autonomy to manage competing priorities, improve administrative processes, and contribute to organisational success. About you

You are a highly organised and professional administrator who enjoys being the go-to person in a busy office environment. You can confidently manage reception duties while balancing multiple administrative priorities, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and take initiative to solve problems before they arise. Comfortable working across financial, travel, event and office support functions, you are adaptable, proactive, customer-focused and committed to delivering outstanding service every day.

Key Required Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration (preferred)
  • Qualification in Office Administration, Business Support or related discipline
  • Current Full Driver's Licence
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Defence Site Clearance (DSC)
