This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior React Native Developer in Canada.

You will join a fast-scaling product engineering environment focused on building real-world mobile solutions that power connected fleet intelligence across North America. The role centers on designing and delivering high-performance mobile applications that turn complex logistics and vehicle data into simple, actionable user experiences. You will work on products used daily by drivers and fleet managers, directly influencing operational efficiency, safety, and performance. Expect a highly autonomous, remote-first setup where ownership, speed, and technical excellence are core expectations. Your work will sit at the intersection of mobile engineering, real-time systems, and cloud integration, with a strong emphasis on reliability and user experience.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance mobile applications using React Native and TypeScript, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user experience across platforms.
  • Integrate mobile applications with cloud-based systems, including REST/GraphQL APIs, AWS microservices, Firebase services, and real-time data streams.
  • Develop offline-first capabilities, secure synchronization mechanisms, and resilient app architectures for field usage in variable network conditions.
  • Own the full mobile delivery lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment to both iOS and Android app stores.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable, and production-ready features.
  • Write clean, reusable, and testable code while maintaining high standards for performance, UX quality, and system reliability.

    • Requirements:

    • 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, including at least 3+ years with React Native and TypeScript.
    • Strong foundation in JavaScript, TypeScript, and React hooks, with a solid understanding of modern mobile architecture patterns.
    • Proven experience integrating RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs in production mobile applications.
    • Hands-on experience with Firebase services such as Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, and Analytics.
    • Familiarity with mobile build and release pipelines using tools like Xcode, Gradle, and Fastlane.
    • Experience publishing and maintaining applications on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
    • Strong knowledge of state management approaches (e.g., Redux, Zustand, or Recoil).
    • Comfortable working in CI/CD environments with Git and agile delivery workflows.
    • Excellent communication skills in a remote-first, distributed team environment.
    • Nice to have: native iOS/Android development experience (Swift, Kotlin, Java), exposure to AWS or microservices, experience with React for web, familiarity with mobile CI/CD tools (Bitrise, AppCenter, GitLab Actions), and domain knowledge in fleet, logistics, or telematics platforms.
