What will you do?  

As a SeniorReactEngineeryou will have the opportunity to build products Caterpillar’s digital products and contribute to design, testing and deployment of our tools and applications as well as:   

• Design, modify, develop, write, and implement software programming applications for target system using agile methods.

• Write source code for new applications, and/or generating and enhancing code samples for existing applications.

• Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.

• Use automated testing tools to perform the testing and maintenance.

• Manage the completion of its own work assignments andcoordinateswork with others.  Based on past experiences and knowledge, normally works independently with minimal management input and review of end results.

• Mentor and helpmore juniorengineers andprovide themguidance in creating structured application/interface code, newdocumentationand guides.

This position works directly with Slovakia based engineering leadership and Cat Digital IT in the US. 

What you have:  

Background and experience:  

• Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• StrongKnowledgeof software development

• StrongReactprogramming experience

• Solid experience with modern UI frameworks and libraries such as TypeScript, React, Redux, Jest orWebpack

• Understanding of AWS components and services

• Proving experience working withAgile methodology

• Solid knowledge of computer science fundamentals like data structures, data bases and algorithms

Top Candidates will also have:  

• Designing, developing, deploying and maintaining software at scale

• Developing software applications using relational and Nosql databases

• Experience designing well-defined Restful APIs

• Workingexperience with API tools such as Swagger, Postman and Assertible

• Test driven development and behavior driven development
