WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Apply specialized knowledge (e.g.,structural analysis,DFM, DFA, etc.) to size and select components and ensureproduct/process design.
Work with cross-functional teams that launch products by taking market specifications from design to prototypeandproduction. This can also cover both branded platform products and products engineered for specific customerapplications
Work closely withEngineering Leadto partner with customers, engage in industrypartnerships, andestablishother relationships enabling us to advance our product and technology reach.
Participate and leadcross-functionalproduct development teams
Coordinate andmaintaincomplex development schedules
Conduct simulations and analyses (e.g., FEA, FMEA) tovalidateproduct performance and reliability.
Direct outside activities such as regulatory or otherthird-partytesting
Collaborate across design and engineering teams tooptimizemanufacturability and meet industry/customer standards.
Support manufacturing improvements by working with and help develop internal fabrication, assembly, and test departments, as well as external suppliers.
Leadlocalproduct development from concept to production, including prototyping and coordination.
Manage the criticalissues ofmeeting with engineering and cross-functional teams.
Oversee testing protocols, external certifications, and mentor junior engineers while knowing the latest with industry advancements.
Lead and coordinatelocalNPD,NPI,Sustaining& Design for Customization inDSprojects.
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor's degree engineering required Mechanicalengineeringis preferred
Ideally5+yearsof relevant experience inmechanical designandproject management.
Bilingual, strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish isrequired.
Experience with Data Center cabinets and environmental.
Ability to design components and assemblies using 3D CAD system SolidWorksor similar
Knowledge ofCADSimulation Analysis tools such asFEA, etc.
In depth knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing processes such as rapidprototyping.
In depth knowledge on GD&T, application and reading.
Knowledge in Mechanical& Materialpropertiesrelated to design.
Demonstrated knowledge in complex sheet metal designandmetallurgic process.
Experience in design and failure analysis tools such as DFMEA, DFM,RCCMetc.
Strong knowledge inengineeringdrawing standards and specifications.
