Join our Next Generation Grids Transformers team in Geneva and shape the future of energy. As a Senior R&D Electrical Engineer, you will work on cutting-edge transformer technologies in a dynamic, international environment.

You’ll be part of a collaborative team, contributing to the full R&D lifecycle—from concept to testing and product launch, ensuring that our solutions meet both technical specifications and market demands. This role offers hands-on experience, technical growth, and the chance to make a real impact in the energy transition.

How you will make an impact

  • Apply your knowledge of electromagnetism to support innovative concepts’ validation through simulations

  • Tackle a variety of engineering challenges on Medium Frequency Transformers

  • Contribute to the development of new features in our internal design tools

  • Organize prototyping and testing activities to validate new technologies/products in collaboration with global teams

  • Align your work with our strategic technology roadmap

  • Take ownership of work packages and deliver results using a structured approach

  • Deepen your understanding of transformer technologies and support internal consulting to optimize your R&D activities

  • Contribute to intellectual property and risk management activities in R&D

Your background

  • MSc or PhD in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, ideally with experience in R&D within a business environment

  • Knowledge of electromagnetism and circuit theory with ability to perform electromagnetic simulations

  • Proficiency in MATLAB and/or Python

  • Strong communication skills in English (French is a plus)

  • Analytical thinking and ability to work independently and collaboratively within interdisciplinary and international teams

  • Awareness of business processes related to product development
