Job Description

Manage and execute timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing activities for assigned entities, with primary focus on Australia. Oversee end-to-end R2R and GL activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and intercompany transactions. Prepare and review financial reporting to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with relevant accounting standards. Apply strong accounting knowledge to identify, investigate and resolve complex accounting and reporting issues. Support the accounting and reporting requirements of Australia, APAC and Middle East entities. Participate in R2R process migrations, including knowledge transfer, process documentation, transition activities and post-migration stabilisation. Work closely with country finance teams and regional stakeholders to understand existing processes and ensure smooth migration into the Shared Services Centre. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimisation, automation and standardisation across R2R activities. Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies and applicable financial reporting standards. Support audit activities and provide relevant schedules, reconciliations and documentation when required. Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury and Operations to resolve accounting and reporting issues. Analyse financial data and investigate variances, discrepancies and unusual movements to ensure accurate reporting. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. 3–5 years of relevant experience in R2R, GL, financial reporting or a similar accounting function. Strong foundation in general accounting and month-end closing. Experience in a Shared Services or multinational environment is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of IFRS Experience in process migration, knowledge transfer or transition projects is highly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate accounting issues and identify root causes. Good understanding of internal controls, reconciliations and financial reporting requirements. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work with regional and country finance teams. Audit background is an added advantage, particularly candidates with experience in financial statement audits and strong accounting fundamentals. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA are an advantage.
