Bouygues UK are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our building safety team. The role would initailly be to work on a £30M refurbishment project in the Cardiff Bay area.

Job Purpose and Scope:

You will be responsible maximising the commercial Results/Cash position of projects in terms of delivering optimum profit performance against internal budgets. Mange the procurement of Sub-contractors, and their financial & contractual management. The preparing and agreeing Interim Valuations with the Client & for progressing the agreement of Variations as the work proceeds utilising company tools. Collaborating with the Project Manager and other members of the Project team.

Accountabilities and key tasks:

• Post-contract financial forecasting financial reporting & control
• Design management and value engineering
• Sub-contract & consultant procurement
• Sub-contract & consultant management
• Client account management
• Management of graduate and assistant surveyors

About You:

• Residential/Commercial sector experience
• Previous experience must include a main contractor
• Experience in producing financial reports, including forecast, net margin, & activity
• Strong commercial awareness
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produce accurate work
• Be able to facilitate the promoting the training and development of Graduates and Assistant QS’s
• Demonstrate a solid understand/management of company reporting timetables, as well as key tools & procedures
