This Tier 1 main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on major projects. The role offers high-level commercial autonomy, senior leadership exposure, and the responsibility to drive project profitability while mentoring a team of surveyors.
Leadership Role: Take full commercial ownership of major developments.
Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop graduate and project-level surveyors.
Strategic Input: Work closely with Project Directors and senior stakeholders to shape project outcomes.
Over see the entire procurement process, draft complex subcontract agreements, and sign off on final accounts.
Lead monthly commercial reporting (CVRs, cash flow, profit projections) and manage risk/opportunity registers.
Protect the company’s position by providing proactive, expert advice on contract administration and dispute resolution.
Manage high-value client relationships and lead negotiations for variations and the final account.
Education: Level 8 degree in Quantity Surveying or higher (SCSI/RICS chartership preferred).
Experience: 7+ years of experience with a main contractor, managing large-scale projects.
Skills: Expert contract knowledge, proven leadership capability, and a track record of commercial success.
Software: Advanced proficiency in MS Office and standard industry software (CostX, Bluebeam, or Cubit).
