Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a multi-year pharmaceutical project based in Limerick This is a high-value, long-term development requiring strong commercial oversight and cost management expertise. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing budgets, contracts, and stakeholder relationships throughout the project lifecycle. To thrive in this role, the preferred candidate will possess extensive experience in large-scale construction projects, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all commercial aspects of the project from inception to completion.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, tendering, and contract administration.
• Monitor project costs and prepare accurate forecasts and reports.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and risk management procedures.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, and project teams to ensure financial targets are met.
• Conduct valuations and manage interim and final payments.
• Identify and resolve commercial issues and disputes.
• Support project planning and scheduling from a cost perspective.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of commercial processes and systems.

Requirements:

• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in a QS role, ideally within pharmaceutical or industrial sectors.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Excel, CostX, or similar).
• Full driving licence – role includes car allowance
