Create your best future and join Westpac as a Senior Quantitative Analyst, Counterparty Credit Risk
What’s the role?
Join our Quantitative Analytics team and play a key role in delivering the models, analytics and risk capabilities that support Financial Markets, Treasury and Commodities. Working within a specialist front-office quantitative team, you'll help manage and enhance the models used to measure counterparty credit risk, derivative valuations and XVA.
You'll work closely with trading, risk and technology teams to develop new capabilities, support the introduction of new products and contribute to major initiatives, including enhancements to the counterparty credit risk platform. This is a hands-on role where you'll combine quantitative expertise, problem-solving skills and technology to deliver practical solutions that support the business.
You'll be part of a highly skilled team that works closely with the trading floor, giving you exposure to complex products, challenging quantitative problems and opportunities to influence how risk and valuation models evolve over time.
This is a permanent position based in Sydney, with the expectation that you’ll work from the office three days per week.
What do I need?
You’ll bring strong quantitative capability, sound judgement and the confidence to work collaboratively in a fast-moving financial markets environment.
