Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Quality Manager to join the Fabrication Core Quality team in Auburn, Washington.
The Fabrication Core Quality Senior Manager provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for Fabrication quality programs supporting Puget Sound fabrication operations and global Fabrication business units. This role manages large, complex special projects and a team of project managers; directs Business Intelligence & Analytics for quality data and decision support; and leads Onsite and Special Investigations groups that support escape management and corrective/preventive actions. The manager ensures consistent quality processes, drives continuous improvement, and partners with cross-functional stakeholders to sustain product, process, and compliance excellence.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of project managers responsible for planning, executing, and delivering large special projects across Fabrication operations.
Oversee the Business Intelligence & Analytics team to develop and deliver quality performance dashboards, root-cause analytics, predictive models, and insight-driven decision support.
Provide direction and management for Onsite and Special Investigations groups that handle escapes, containment, nonconformance investigations, and supplier/process failure analyses.
Define and deploy quality strategy, standards, and best practices for Fabrication core functions across Puget Sound and global Fabrication units.
Serve as the escalation point for complex quality issues and lead cross-functional investigations and corrective action implementation.
Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Safety, and other functions to align quality objectives with business goals and production schedules.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality management system expectations.
Recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing teams; set performance goals, provide coaching, and conduct performance reviews.
Manage budgets, resource allocation, and metrics for teams under scope of responsibility.
Communicate status, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives, customers, stakeholders, peers, and business partners
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality or production engineering as a senior leader or manager
Proficient using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience with team building, developing, and motivating employees
5+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (BPS)
5+ years of experience completing process-oriented tasks accurately and in an organized manner
5+ years of experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues
5+ years of experience with business acumen and systems thinking
Self-starter with strong time management skills to effectively work to and meet deadlines

Pay Range: $154,700 – $209,300
