Purpose of Position

  • CASETiFY is seeking a Senior Quality Engineering Manager, Quality Assurance, to join our global Product Development team. Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you will be responsible for upholding the highest quality standards for our product categories by leading a cross-functional quality assurance team, defining and owning reliability testing metrics, and ensuring competitive structural integrity across our tech accessories.
  • You will oversee daily quality operations from concept to mass production and market delivery. You will operate at the intersection of technical feasibility, manufacturing capabilities, design intent, material science, and business objectives. Your key responsibilities include expertise in consumer tech accessory standards (e.g., drop protection, material durability), global quality planning, and deep product testing expertise. Furthermore, you will oversee the execution of quality milestone meetings, management of defect rates, supplier compliance, and, ultimately, product durability performance across your respective product line.

  • Quality Strategy and Planning:
    • Defining the global quality compliance roadmap and testing standards for the assigned product line.
    • Conducting reliability and material research (e.g., drop testing, scratch resistance, UV yellowing) to understand opportunities to develop their product line's durability and overall business.
    • Utilizing provided manufacturing forecasts to define QA/QC resource projections by channel/region/season in the achievement of overall business objectives
    • Provide quality architecture and testing briefs to product designers & developers.
  • Testing and Supplier Quality Management:
    • Optimizing the product testing protocols and ensuring an appropriate balance of core, seasonal, and innovation material testing.
    • Analyzing defect data, return trends, and consumer insights to inform quality planning.
    • Determining quality inspection criteria and QA placement within manufacturing facilities.
    • Aligning quality and compliance strategies with broader brand and channel initiatives.
  • Financial and Operations Management:
    • Developing an annual defect reduction target and achieving collection-level manufacturing yield targets.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency across the testing processes and developing quality protocols within the product development costing targets.
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address manufacturing and operational challenges.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration & Communication:
    • Foster strong relationships and collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring clarity of product quality requirements, timelines, and objectives.
    • Proactively engage with design, marketing, sales, operations, and manufacturing teams to align on quality strategies, go-to-market plans, and performance targets.
    • Provide consumer quality insights, defect data, and yield projections to inform decision-making across the organization.
    • Foster a spirit of partnership and shared accountability to drive execution excellence.
  • Key Performance Metrics:
    • Manufacturing yield and defect rate reduction
    • Supplier quality performance
    • Product delivery date achievement
    • Customer satisfaction (specifically related to structural product returns)

Requirement

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering or QA-related role, specifically within consumer goods, electronics accessories, or plastics/polymers manufacturing. A candidate with less experience could be considered for a less senior role
  • Deep technical expertise in injection molding, material science (TPU, PC, and sustainable resins), and professional drop-protection validation protocols.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and aligning quality strategies with business objectives.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001), Statistical Process Control (SPC), product development processes, and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders around quality-specific priorities.
