Specific Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for Quality Management System compliance and system improvement activities.
  • Support Goal Zero and participate in HSE activities as defined in the EPCM CONTRACT HSE Plan.
  • Accountable for Quality Management Plan implementation.
  • Establishing, implementing and maintaining the quality management system.
  • Accountable for the overall company Flawless project delivery plan for projects, where applicable.
  • Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system such as fishbone, Root cause analysis, Five Why, etc.
  • Support the Quality Control Inspectors to ensure that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the inspection activities of multi-discipline Quality Control Inspectors.
  • Conducts regular schedule meetings with Quality Control Inspectors and Implementation Contractors Site Quality Team where applicable to align on project quality goals.
  • Monitor contractor QA/QC activities and maintain records to support Document Control.
  • Ensure that responses are complete and in compliance with the contract documents. Where problems are found, work with the Construction Lead and Project Engineer to resolve.
  • Assist to identify, respond to or evaluate technical issues to maintain the schedule.
  • Support assurance activities of the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.
  • To carry out inspection and maintain records in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan and include raising punch list items after inspection at Mechanical Completion / Pre-commissioning.
  • Performs inspection according to a predefined inspection scope in work packs. Assess Inspection results in relation to applicable performance standards.
  • Reports results of inspection activities according to instruction of inspection management standard. Identifying any anomalies and report those according to procedures as detailed in the Inspection management standard.
  • Support Construction in the completion of punch list activities.
  • Hold pre-inspections meetings.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CSWIP, AWS, etc.) with at least 5 years inspection experience.
  • Certified Coating Inspector (NACE, BGAS, etc.) with at least 5 years inspection experience.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas related project delivery.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Brown Field Oil and Gas Project Delivery as an Umbrella Contract Senior Quality Control Engineer.
  • Flawless Project Delivery experience.
  • Experience with interfacing with other disciplines, i.e. electrical, process, rotating mechanical, civil, static mechanical and technical.
  • Bachelor of engineering in a relevant discipline.
  • Certified and registered IRCA Lead Auditor in ISO 9001
  • Having a total experience of min. 12 years as QA Engineer with strong background of the
  • Oil & Gas Projects environment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in leading Project Quality audits.
  • Strong coordination and reporting skills.
  • Fluent English lingual skills.

Required Competencies

  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Strong computer literacy, MS Office suite of programs competence and writing skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated individual capable of working with limited supervision.
  • Able to work under pressure within tight schedule timelines without compromising Quality.
  • Able to proactively identify and address Quality risks and issues.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
