As aSeniorQualityEngineer, you will have a broad range ofresponsibilitiesin order toensure that products and processes meet quality standards, customerexpectationsandrelevantregulatoryrequirementThe role involves monitoring,testingand improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and repeatability as well as working on reducing variations and cost ofpoor quality
The role requiresa high levelof,both,hands-on and soft skills, such asteamwork,communication,leadershipand coordinationcompetencies.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to
Developing andmaintainingquality control plans and procedures for different product families according to existing standards and specific customer requirements
Ensuring the correct application of work instructions and quality control plans together with applicable QMS procedures.
Managing customer quality claims, including intercompany issues.
Managing internalqualitynon-conformities, applyingStatistical Process Control (SPC) andidentifyareas of improvement.
Monitoring supplier quality performance and managing supplier quality issues.
Drivingroot-causeanalysisand corrective actions using tools like 8D, A3, FMEA,involving cross-functional teams when required
Facilitating external (e.g., ISO, BASEC) and customer audits.
Supportinginternal and supplier audits.
Monitoringquality KPIs such as COPQ, number of customer claims.
Analysingquality datain order toidentify“data driven”improvement opportunities
Maintainingand updating qualitymanagement systemdocumentation,in coordination with the UK Quality Systems Manager.
Ensuring alltests and inspections on raw materials,componentsand finished products are conducted.
Ensuringmeasurement and test equipmentismaintainedandcalibrated asrequired
Ensuring execution offactory quick process audits according to Prysmian rules, ensuring corrective actions areaddressed and followed.
Lead by example to enhance and promote quality culture.
Managing a plantquality team.

We are looking for aseniorquality professional with educationalbackgroundin Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering,MechanicalEngineeringorsimilar,or equivalent work experience in quality in a manufacturing environment; Lean Six Sigma Black or Green Beltcertificationisadvantageous
