The role

As a Senior Quality Delivery Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in delivering robust assurance across major nuclear projects, including the Pile Fuel Cladding Silo programme. You’ll lead independent quality activities, ensuring that complex engineering outputs meet rigorous regulatory and customer requirements.

Day-to-day, you’ll be required to:

  • Lead independent assurance activities to evaluate quality performance across projects
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on quality standards, compliance, and best practice
  • Review and approve supplier quality arrangements in line with project and regulatory requirements
  • Analyse data and using quality tools to assess performance against objectives and drive improvement
  • Support and develop team members, fostering a strong quality culture across the business

This role is full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and is based at our Sellafield site with the option of hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Senior Quality Delivery Engineer:

  • Demonstrable experience providing quality assurance guidance within complex engineering or regulated environments
  • Proven ability to evaluate compliance and recommend corrective and preventive actions
  • Experience working with supplier quality processes and reviewing technical documentation
  • Strong background in applying quality tools, techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience leading or mentoring others, with effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications for the Senior Quality Delivery Engineer:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, quality, or a related discipline
  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification, or equivalent experience (Desirable)
  • Membership of the Chartered Quality Institute or similar professional body (Desirable)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement qualification (Desirable)
  • Experience in nuclear or other high-hazard, highly regulated industries (Desirable)

Security Clearance
