Job Description

The Senior Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading all quality, compliance, reliability, testing, and qualification activities across the Foil Division. The role ensures compliance with customer, regulatory, military, and corporate requirements while driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

As a key business partner to Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams, this leader will oversee the Quality Management System, Calibration Laboratory activities, Reliability & Testing Laboratory operations, product qualification activities, and audit readiness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Leadership & Compliance

  • Lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities across the Foil Division in accordance with local QMS and corporate quality procedures.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS) in VFR in accordance with AS9100, MIL-STD-790 and CECC.
  • Serve as the focal point for certifications, regulatory compliance, customer audits, and quality system assessments.
  • Ensure ongoing readiness for customers, certification, regulatory, and military audits.
  • Develop quality strategy, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reliability Laboratory & Product Qualification

  • Lead the Reliability & Testing Laboratory, ensuring resources, capabilities, equipment readiness, and testing performance support business and customer needs.
  • Lead Maintenance Activities of existing product qualifications (QPL, CECC).
  • Oversee product qualification, validation, reliability testing, and compliance with customer and industry specifications (MIL-PRF, NASA & ESA, automotive, etc.)
  • Manage laboratory priorities, personnel, and continuous improvement programs.
  • Support internal development programs and external customer testing activities.

Metrology & Calibration Management

  • Own the site calibration and metrology systems, ensuring compliance and traceability of measurement and test equipment.
  • Oversee calibration programs, measurement system effectiveness, and related compliance requirements.

Customer & Supplier Quality

  • Lead customer quality improvement initiatives, complaint resolution (FA , root cause investigations, and corrective actions).
  • Oversee supplier qualification, supplier performance, audits, and change management processes.
  • Act as the primary quality representative to customers and external stakeholders.

Operational & Organizational Leadership

  • Drive process improvements that enhance product quality, reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor quality managers, engineers, technicians, and inspectors.
  • Manage departmental priorities, budgets, resources, and strategic plans.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams to support business growth and operational excellence.

Requirements

Education

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electronics, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
  • Quality certifications such as CQE, CQM, Lead Auditor, or equivalent are an advantage.

Experience

  • 8+ years of proven quality leadership experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Background in aerospace, defense, electronics, precision manufacturing, automotive, medical equipment industries is preferred.
  • Experience with reliability testing, testing laboratory operations, qualification programs, and metrology systems is an advantage.
