Responsibilities :

  • API manual functional testing using Postman.
  • Good debugging skills.
  • Should have expertise in Web /mweb/ App Manual testing.
  • Should have a very good understanding of Testing concepts and terminologies.
  • Should have sound knowledge of SDLC, STLC, and Agile concepts.
  • Good to have SQL knowledge.
  • Automation / Execution or any Scripting experience is added advantage.
  • Should have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should have excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work both in the team and independently, and ability to plan and organize the work.
  • Should be responsible for creating test schedules, detailing test cases, test plans, impact analysis, and consolidating and reporting test results.
  • Help drive the software development process towards quality-centric methodologies, always seeking to avoid defects or find them at the earliest stage possible in the SDLC lifecycle.
  • Grey box testers rather than black-box testers, able to understand software internals, debug problems using log files & debug network calls.
  • Experience working with agile methodologies preferred.

Required Skills And Experience

  • Work experience in Web Services (API) testing using REST.
  • Work experience in a product-based company/startup.
  • Proficient in using tools like - (Postman, Rest Client), Selenium, and JMeter.
  • Solid understanding of API testing experience.
  • Have a good understanding of bug lifecycle and defect management process.
  • Excellent communication as well as documentation skills.
  • Experience in cross-browser testing.
  • Hands-on automation testing experience in Web/Mobile app testing will be a plus.
  • Preferred exposure to the postman, Jira & git.
  • Automation exposure with rest-assured/selenium will be a plus.
