Job Summary

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer leads automation strategy for major features and projects, improving frameworks and mentoring junior engineers. Partners with cross‑functional teams to refine requirements, ensure robust automated coverage, and drive quality improvements. Analyzes trends in failures, identifies gaps, and recommends enhancements. Provides detailed reporting on automation results and influences best practices across teams.

Essential Job Functions

  • Leads creation of automated tests using an object‑oriented Ruby Cucumber framework across web, API, and database layers. Improves framework design, mentors others, and drives enhancements to increase automation depth and maintainability. - (30%)
  • Leads automated test execution, analyzes trends, and drives defect resolution. Reports metrics to stakeholders, improves processes, mentors others, and ensures high‑quality test data management to support scalable automation. - (30%)
  • Maintains deep knowledge of system components and the automation framework. Uses this expertise to guide automation design, troubleshoot complex issues, mentor others, and ensure reliable, scalable test coverage. - (20%)
  • Leads automated testing efforts across projects, partners with stakeholders to define testing needs, and delivers detailed reporting on results and risks. Guides teams in automation best practices and ensures strong coverage. - (20%)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field of study or equivalent, relevant work experience.
  • 5-8 years of domain functional testing experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB)
  • Certified Agile Tester (CAT)
  • Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP)
  • Chartered Market Technician (CMT)
  • 8-10 years of domain functional testing experience.
