Job Description

Australian Botanical Products (ABP), an IXOM brand, is a leading supplier of Essential Oils in Australia and New Zealand, with a growing presence in Asia. ABP has supplied essential oils, plant extracts and fragrances for use in a range of industries including cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food and flavour & fragrance. ABP is a TGA manufacturing facility offering contract manufacture and producing proprietary listed medicines for the domestic and export markets.

Expanding on IXOM’s established Keith Harris fragrance & flavour manufacturing and Bronson & Jacobs distribution businesses, ABP strengthens and grow IXOM’s specialised product portfolio, as well as local fragrance manufacturing capabilities, to open expanded customer markets.

About your role

At IXOM, quality and compliance are at the heart of everything we do. We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Associate to support our TGA-licensed and GMP-accredited programs at our Hallam facility.

This role will help ensure the safe, compliant and high-quality supply of essential oils, carrier oils, food ingredients and fragrances. You'll partner closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Warehouse, QC and Commercial teams while driving quality system excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve key elements of the Pharmaceutical & Food Quality System and site Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Manage site training systems and deliver GMP and Quality training
  • Support customer, certification, internal and regulatory audits
  • Investigate complaints, deviations, non-conformances and quality incidents
  • Drive CAPA implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Coordinate Product Quality Reviews and associated compliance activities
  • Author and maintain SOPs, work instructions, forms and quality records
  • Support change control processes, risk assessments and investigations
  • Manage supplier quality and vendor assurance programs
  • Prepare quality reports and trend analysis for management review
  • Partner with site teams to improve quality performance and compliance outcomes

Who are we looking for?

You are a quality professional who enjoys working in a regulated manufacturing environment and can balance compliance requirements with practical business outcomes.

Ideally, You'll Bring

  • A tertiary qualification in Science, Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, Quality or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a quality role within pharmaceutical, food, manufacturing, natural products or another regulated industry
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, QMS, CAPA, audits, document control and change management
  • Experience supporting internal, customer and regulatory audits
  • Strong investigation, root cause analysis and problem-solving capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities

Highly Regarded

  • Experience working in a TGA-regulated environment
  • Exposure to HACCP, Halal or Kosher certification programs
  • Supplier quality, vendor assurance or product release experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food ingredients, fragrance or natural products manufacturing
