Job Title

Senior QS / Manager

Project & Team Leadership

  • Lead assigned projects or workstreams under the direction of the Associate Director/Director.
  • Supervise and guide Assistant Quantity Surveyors.
  • Review and coordinate project deliverables to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Contribute to internal reviews, technical standards, and best practice implementation.

Cost Consultancy Services

  • Prepare and/or review:
  • Feasibility studies and preliminary cost advice
  • Pre‑contract cost plans and estimates
  • Bills of Quantities (BQ) and tender documentation
  • Post‑contract cost control reports and cash flow forecasts
  • Advise clients on cost planning, cost risks, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Monitor project budgets and report on cost performance.

Procurement & Tender Management

  • Advise on procurement options and strategies.
  • Manage tender documentation, addenda, clarifications, and evaluations.
  • Prepare tender evaluation reports and recommendations.
  • Support tender interviews and contractor negotiations.

Contract Administration & Claims Advisory

  • Provide contract administration and commercial advisory services under:
  • PAM Conditions of Contract
  • CIDB Standard Forms
  • FIDIC and other internationally know Form of Contracts
  • Design & Build and bespoke contracts
  • Assist in claims preparation, dispute avoidance, and contractual correspondence.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as day‑to‑day client contact for assigned projects.
  • Attend and chair cost and commercial meetings where required.
  • Prepare professional reports, cost summaries, and client presentations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure consultancy services comply with:
  • Malaysian construction regulations
  • BQSM / RISM professional standardsInternal quality management and ISO procedures
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for projects.
  • Identify and highlight commercial and contractual risks to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant consultancy experience
  • Experience in Data Centre Projects will be advantageous
  • Registered Quantity Surveyor with BQSM (preferred)
