The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's new Digital hub for strategic IT projects.

CONTEXT/ROLE

We are seeking a QA Engineer to drive quality in our cutting-edge platform for high-volume, multi-country users. The Product and Ordering team (P&O) is the core of our platform. It defines the product catalog and the possibilities offered for each country. Join us to influence product excellence, advocate for automation, and push our QA capabilities to new heights. For a very ambitious agile-at-scale program (Feature Teams organization), we are seeking talented and ambitious professionals to join our team based primarily in Paris and Bucharest (200+ people focusing on technology and product management).

We are fully embracing Cloud Native capabilities and best practices and operating as a multi-tribe Product team to better serve our customers (Clients, Merchants and Users) and our Edenred employees. We are leveraging Agility at scale principles and are leading the change in establishing “FinTech Product” ways of working for Edenred.

Our platform is operating in Azure and is developed in .NET for the backend and in Flutter and Angular for the frontend. We also have a dedicated team for data and analytics, a UX research and Design team and a team dedicated to our CRM (Salesforce).

OUR QA TEAM

Our Testing & QA team is critical to ensure the reliability and performance of our products, while minimizing the toil for our engineering teams. Its mission is to be the quality advocate of our products and services, and to continuously improve our processes and tools to deliver value to our customers. We have invested very early in Automation capabilities; we are driving very intentionally efficiency with an end-to-end mindset within our teams.

We want our Testing & QA community to focus on 4 pillars:

• Promote a “shift left” mindset for quality, ensuring the testing strategy is fully embedded in the Product delivery lifecycle, bringing an upfront focus on edge cases and accepting criteria, fostering the “3 amigos” approach.
• Design and implement robust End to End testing/QA strategies, to acknowledge the transversality and interdependency within our ecosystem, maximize our product reliability while enabling a high frequency release management.
• Embrace our data driven culture by promoting full transparency on testing KPIs, including functional coverage, automation and execution metrics.
• Establish a strong QA Community of Practice to ensure best practices and ways of working also reach our internal and external partners and contribute to elevate the Quality culture within Edenred.

Our QA team work closely with the Engineering, Data and Product teams to ensure that our products meet the high standards of quality and performance that our customers expect.

Our testing stack is composed of Jira X-Ray to document and execute test scenarios. For automation, we build our framework based on Selenium, Appium and RestAssured. It is packaged to be used in Xray or via an IDE to script scenarios with a low code approach.

The QA community is very active on Smarter program with monthly meetings and dedicated days to share best practices, learn together and have fun.

YOUR ROLE

As a QA Engineer, based in Bucharest, you will be a key player in driving quality across your designated perimeter. Your main responsibilities will be:

• Management of the quality activities Build the test strategy of the team and define the right way of doing quality collaborating with your PO, Scrum Master, and tech team.
• Shift-Left Testing Influence the product team early in the development cycle, focusing on edge cases and acceptance criteria.
• Automation Advocacy Champion test automation strategies, ensuring robust and efficient automated test coverage. Build your roadmap with a risk-based approach.
• End-to-End Testing Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies for cloud-native architectures (APIs, Microservices) coordinating test activities.
• Tool Utilization & Adoption Leverage Jira and the Atlassian suite for test planning and execution and use Gherkin language for test scripting.
• Collaboration Work closely with developers to integrate quality practices throughout the development process.

YOUR PROFILE

You could be our next teammate if you have:

• English fluent (a must)
• 2-4 years minimum of experience in software testing and QA with a strong appetite on frontend test
• Technical Proficiency Strong hands-on experience in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Cucumber).
• Cloud-Native Architecture Experience testing cloud-native applications, including microservices and APIs.
• High-Volume Applications Experience working on products serving large user bases across multiple countries and languages.
• Agile Experience Proven experience in agile environments, with a focus on shift-left testing practices.
• End-to-End Testing Strong background in both front-end (web/mobile) and back-end integration testing.
• Collaboration Skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Test Management Tools Proficiency in using Jira and the Atlassian suite for test management.
• Gherkin Language: Experience in writing and executing tests using Gherkin language.

The team is international so the English is a must. We meet in person every year in our office in Paris, it is an intense time of both work and amusement.
