The Senior Automation QA Engineer Role

Qlik is seeking a highly skilled Senior Automation QA Engineer to design and develop automated testing solutions for our Salesforce and NetSuite platforms.

This role combines strong QA automation engineering with hands-on AI agent development using Playwright. The engineer will use AI agents and modern automation techniques to accelerate testing, improve coverage and reliability, and provide faster quality feedback throughout the software development lifecycle.

The role also requires a responsible approach to AI development, considering appropriate ethical, privacy, security, fairness, and human oversight principles.

· Driving strategic quality: You will partner closely with developers, product owners, and key stakeholders to identify risks early, shifting quality left and shaping the overall testing strategy.

· Transforming defect detection: Your sophisticated, AI-enhanced test scenarios will catch critical issues before they reach production, ensuring rock-solid reliability across our Salesforce and NetSuite environments.

· Streamlining QA processes: Your clear, actionable insights from test failures and meticulous tracking metrics will continuously elevate our entire software development lifecycle.

· Mentoring through innovation: By introducing AI-assisted testing practices and clear documentation, you will naturally elevate the technical capabilities of the wider team and establish new industry-leading standards.

We’re looking for a teammate with:

· 5+ years of hands-on QA automation experience.

· Strong programming and automation experience with Playwright and Python; experience with Selenium or similar frameworks is beneficial.

· Proven experience building AI agents using Playwright for software testing or QA automation.

· Good understanding of AI models, LLMs, and AI agent development, including how agents use tools and interact with applications.

· Experience with AI/agent technologies such as OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.

· Strong knowledge of Salesforce (Apex, Lightning) and NetSuite (SuiteScript, workflows, or saved searches).

· Experience developing end-to-end automation across complex enterprise applications and integrations.

· Strong understanding of QA fundamentals, including test planning, test design, regression testing, defect management, and Agile/Scrum.

· Experience with Git, CI/CD, Jira, and test management tools such as Zephyr.

· Understanding of prompt engineering and effective use of LLMs in software engineering.

· Awareness of responsible AI practices, including ethical use, privacy, security, fairness, and human oversight.

· Performance, load, or security testing experience is desirable.

· Salesforce or NetSuite certifications are desirable.
