Overview

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications and backend services. The candidate should have strong expertise in Python development, API development, database technologies, cloud platforms, and software engineering best practices.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize queries and application performance.
• Participate in application architecture and technical design discussions.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding and development standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Develop unit and integration tests and ensure good code coverage.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments across environments.

Qualifications

Required Technical Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Python development.
• Strong knowledge of Python 3.x, OOP, data structures, exception handling, and design patterns.
• Strong experience with frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Strong experience in REST API development and microservices architecture.
• Good knowledge of SQL and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB is preferred.
• Experience with Git and version-control practices.
• Good understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and coding standards.

Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP cloud-native services.
• Knowledge of Kafka or other messaging/streaming platforms.
• Experience with Celery, RabbitMQ, or asynchronous programming.
• Knowledge of automated testing frameworks such as PyTest or unittest.
• Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience working with large-scale, high-volume applications.
• Knowledge of AI/ML, GenAI, or data engineering is an added advantage.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
