Job Description

Job Title: Senior Python Developer (8–10 Years Experience)

Amsterdam, Netherlands (Onsite)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Duration: 6 Months

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our team in Amsterdam. This role is ideal for a highly analytical and proactive professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and can independently drive solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You will play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting scalable applications, while also contributing to agile delivery processes and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities


  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a collaborative team environment

  • Gather requirements and translate business needs into functional and technical solutions

  • Design solutions and prepare functional/technical specification documents

  • Lead agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and spike creation

  • Develop and maintain user stories and ensure smooth sprint execution

  • Prepare and execute cut-over and deployment plans

  • Drive post-implementation hyper-care support and transition activities

  • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions

  • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation initiatives

Required Skills & Experience


  • 8–10 years of professional experience in Python development (development + support projects)

  • Strong proficiency in Python, FastAPI, and Microservices architecture

  • Experience with Apache Kafka

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure and OCI)

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps

  • Strong experience with containerization tools such as Docker, AKS, and Helm

  • Proficiency in writing and executing test cases

  • Experience with Agile frameworks (SAFe Agile) and tools like Jira and Confluence
