Job Description


We currently have the opportunity with one of the leading hospitals in Dubai, UAE, for a Senior Psychology Practitioner.
Job Purpose
To provide patient-centred psychological services, including assessment,
crisis intervention, counseling, and psychotherapy in multiple modalities and
orientations.
To develop psychological
services and increase mental health awareness
Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of mental
    health policies and procedures.

  • Provide clinical
    supervision for trainees and Master’s Level Staff. Conduct professional
    in-service training and contribute to community-based programs and external
    trainings.

  • Assume all other
    administrative and managerial duties in the case of serving as the Head
    of Section

  • Conduct
    crisis intervention,
    intake assessments and diagnostic
    procedures for inpatient and outpatient clients

  • Provide psychotherapy
    across multiple modalities (e.g., individual, couples, family, and
    group) and evidence-based theoretical orientations

  • Conduct
    psycho-diagnostic assessment procedures including scoring, interpretation,
    and report writing (applicable to trained professionals only)

  • Provide expert advice,
    liaise and consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding the
    psychological needs of patients and families, as well as effective patient
    management

  • Participate in the
    development and execution of patient advocacy and mental health awareness
    initiatives

  • Maintain professional
    documentation and case records

  • Perform other duties as
    assigned


Requirements


Job Requirement
A
Master’s Degree in psychology or counselling, or an equivalent degree
Licensure/registration
according to DHA requirements, Training
and qualifications.
Experience -
A minimum of 6 years of post-graduate experience.
