The PSI Funding & Analytics unit, as part of the PSI Funding & Capital Planning Branch, performs a wide variety of tasks, with the majority of the work related to a few main functions:

Reporting to the Manager, PSI Funding and Analytics, the Senior PSI Funding & Data Analyst plays a key role in strengthening the Ministry’s understanding of how post-secondary institution finances relate to funding models, program objectives, and inter-provincial comparisons. In this role, you will apply analytical thinking, creativity, and systems insight to integrate data from multiple sources and generate meaningful financial analysis that supports decision-making across Alberta’s post-secondary system.
Your curiosity, strong analytical mindset, and financial expertise will enable you to translate complex data into insights that inform funding decisions, policy development, and strategic planning. By leveraging diverse datasets and applying sound financial and statistical analysis, you will contribute to a deeper understanding of institutional financial operations and system-wide trends.

University graduation in a related field preferably in Business, Financial Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Actuarial science, or closely related fields with a focus in Data Analytics plus four years related experience.

There is one (1) permanent position available, and it is located in Edmonton, working in the Commerce Place located at 10155 102 Street. This position works 36.25 hours per week, 8:15am – 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
