About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Proposals Coordinator to join our high-performing pre‑contracts team, based in Sydney at Rydlemere (BMD Temporary office location), reporting to the Proposals Lead. In this role, you will be pivotal to the delivery of high-quality, fully compliant Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and tender submissions for major opportunities. You’ll bring structure, precision and strong writing capability to every submission—coordinating inputs, managing document production, and supporting best-practice proposal processes across BMD’s national proposals function.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Coordinate the end‑to‑end development of EOIs and tender submissions, supporting compliance, quality and on-time delivery
• Build and manage bid programs, including schedules, deliverables, action registers and gated review milestones
• Support the Proposals Lead by coordinating review workshops, managing feedback, and tracking actions to closure
• Develop and refine submission content by synthesising technical input from engineers, estimators, project teams, partners and subject matter experts
• Prepare and maintain key submission artefacts (e.g., compliance matrices, outlines, storyboards, templates and supporting schedules)
• Manage document control, versioning and submission logistics using digital platforms such as SharePoint
• Maintain and curate proposal libraries including CVs, project profiles and reusable content, contributing to national knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with business development, marketing, legal, executive leadership and joint venture partners to deliver cohesive submissions
• Mentor and support Proposals Coordinators as required, contributing to continuous improvement and quality uplift

About you

You are a proactive, detail‑driven proposals professional who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. You bring a balance of coordination expertise, stakeholder engagement and polished written communication.

You will ideally have:

• A tertiary qualification in public relations, communications, marketing or a related discipline (highly desirable)
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a similar proposals or bids role, ideally within civil construction or a related industry
• Demonstrated experience leading complex EOIs and tenders for large‑scale infrastructure projects
• Advanced writing, editing and content strategy capability, with a strong eye for quality and compliance
• Proven ability to lead and influence multidisciplinary teams and senior stakeholders
