Senior Project Scheduler – JP9141 / IASPO

RFQ: 2026-164-Joint-IASPO-RFQ
Client: Department of Defence
Location: Campbell Park Offices, Canberra
Work arrangement: Minimum three days onsite each week
Contract: Immediate start to 30 June 2027
Extension: Possible extension
Security clearance: Minimum active NV1

Important: Candidates must have been separated from Defence for at least 12 months.

Pinaka Technology Solutions brings this opportunity through a Defence Prime and is seeking an experienced Level 3 Project Scheduler to support JP9141 within the Information Assurance Systems Program Office.

IASPO is responsible for acquiring, modernising, sustaining and managing Defence's High Assurance Cryptographic Equipment capability. Through JP9141, IASPO is delivering phased upgrades and replacements of cryptographic systems to address obsolescence and emerging operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

Working within an integrated JP9141 workforce, the successful candidate will:

  • Deliver project scheduling support across approved and pre-approval projects.
  • Establish, maintain and control compliant project schedules.
  • Manage Open Plan Professional schedules, including project activities, milestones and financial payments.
  • Develop schedules for pre-approval projects and prepare them for baselining following approval.
  • Coordinate monthly reporting across the project team using PPRIP and SPMS.
  • Ensure approved project schedules can be reported through MRS.
  • Establish and maintain project Work Breakdown Structures, WBS data dictionaries and supporting schedules.
  • Monitor schedule performance and identify risks, dependencies and emerging issues.
  • Provide schedule-risk advice to the Project Director.
  • Ensure project activities are progressed in accordance with approved procedures.
  • Interpret and comply with applicable legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, technical teams, commercial personnel and other stakeholders.

Essential requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

  • A minimum active NV1 Australian Government security clearance.
  • At least 12 months' separation from Defence.
  • Availability to work onsite at Campbell Park Offices for at least three days each week.
  • Senior-level experience using Open Plan Professional.
  • Demonstrated scheduling experience on major projects.
  • Experience developing, baselining, maintaining and controlling integrated project schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of milestones, dependencies, critical paths and schedule-risk management.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining Work Breakdown Structures and associated data dictionaries.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, reporting and communication skills.

Highly desirable experience

The following will be highly regarded:

  • Previous project scheduling experience within a Defence environment.
  • Experience supporting Defence acquisition, modernisation or sustainment programs.
  • Familiarity with the One Defence Capability System.
  • Experience with Defence reporting systems and processes, including PPRIP, SPMS or MRS.
  • Experience working within an integrated APS, ADF and contractor workforce.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management, scheduling or a related discipline.

Applicants with relevant transferable experience from other major-project environments may also be considered where they meet the security-clearance and essential role requirements.

This position may require access to United States export-controlled material.
