GREAT OPPORTUNITY AWAITS

This is a high-impact role leading the coordination and delivery of clinical placements for medical and nursing students across the Gold Coast. Working at the interface of universities and general practice, you will play a key role in strengthening the future primary care workforce.

You will manage the end-to-end placement program, streamline processes, and support practices to deliver high-quality clinical education experiences. This role suits a proactive project professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working with diverse stakeholders.

This position is offered as a Full time Fixed-term contract to 30 June 2027 (with potential for extension).

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the central point of contact for universities and general practices, you will provide leadership, coordination and operational oversight of the Clinical Placements program.

You will:

  • Lead end-to-end coordination of medical and nursing student placements across partner universities and general practices
  • Manage program delivery, ensuring placements are allocated, documented and delivered accurately and on time
  • Support general practices to host and supervise students effectively, enhancing the quality of clinical education
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with universities, clinicians and internal stakeholders
  • Monitor program performance, identify risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide high-quality reporting, briefings and communications to support governance and decision-making

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the Clinical Placements program, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with strategic priorities
  • Coordinate student placements across universities and general practices, ensuring accurate, timely and compliant delivery
  • Monitor program performance, budgets and risks, providing clear reporting and insights against key deliverables
  • Build and manage strong partnerships with universities, general practices and internal stakeholders to support effective
    program delivery
  • Ensure compliance with program guidelines, accreditation standards and clinical governance frameworks
  • Lead stakeholder engagement, communications, events and reporting to support coordinated delivery and decision-making
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying risks, efficiencies and opportunities for service enhancement
  • Maintain accurate data, reporting systems and information security in line with privacy and organisational requirements

SELECTION CRITERIA - ESSENTIAL:

You will bring:

  • Proven experience delivering complex health sector projects from planning through to evaluation
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and support team members to deliver outcomes on time and within budget
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence across diverse groups
  • Excellent communication skills, including consultation, negotiation, reporting and presentations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to develop practical, innovative solutions
  • Experience implementing change initiatives in a complex or multidisciplinary environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and project
    management or data systems
  • This is a full-time position and is not suitable for applicants seeking part-time or
    reduced hours.

SELECTION CRITERIA - DESIRABLE:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Understanding of general practice or clinical training environments

WE OFFER

  • Remuneration package: $107,601 to $117,137 plus superannuation
  • Limited flexible work arrangements
  • Salary packaging benefits (up to $15,900 p.a. + $2,650 p.a. for meals/entertainment)
  • Additional benefits, such as 5 weeks annual leave and paid parental leave (after qualifying period)

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
