Do you want your work to make a difference for NSW?
Working to protect the state’s environment and heritage.
Great project delivery is about more than plans and milestones. It’s about bringing people with you, navigating complexity and turning business needs into practical, sustainable outcomes.
We’re looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Officer to join our Data Program, delivering enterprise data initiatives across technology, business change and capability uplift workstreams.
This role needs more than a traditional IT project background. You’ll combine strong technical delivery experience with business judgement, keeping people, processes, adoption and enterprise outcomes at the centre of every project.
This role focuses on two key areas within the broader Data Program:
Across both streams, you’ll lead concurrent projects from planning through to implementation, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, vendors and stakeholders in a matrix environment. You’ll keep scope, risks, dependencies, budgets and milestones on track while ensuring delivery remains grounded in business priorities and measurable outcomes.
You’re a highly experienced project manager with a track record of delivering data, technology and enterprise transformation initiatives. You have worked across multiple complex datasets and understand the challenges of data migration, platform and system upgrades, and business-led change.
You are confident working with technical teams and able to test, translate and connect their work to business needs. You understand that successful delivery depends on people, processes, governance, adoption and technology working together.
You’ll bring:
Above all, you’ll be a standout communicator and relationship builder who can deliver at pace.
