National Parks and Wildlife Service has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Officer to join the Royal Area team.
In this role, you will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital and operational projects that support visitor experience, heritage protection, conservation and environmental sustainability outcomes across Royal National Park and surrounding reserves.
Reporting to the Manager, Royal Area, you will be responsible for project planning and delivery, procurement and contract management, stakeholder engagement, governance and reporting, while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
A key focus of the role will be the successful delivery of two priority projects:
The role may also support the development of new camping opportunities and assist with the coordination of campground operations, including overseeing support services that maintain facilities and deliver positive visitor experiences.
You are a proactive and strategic project professional with a strong ability to manage complex projects, competing priorities, and diverse stakeholders. Experience working with complex heritage-listed assets, including the planning of works and preparation of environmental and heritage approvals will be highly regarded.
