Senior Project Officer
Location - Parramatta (Flexible Working Arrangements to be considered)
Employment type – Ongoing full-times role
Salary - $133,348.00 - $146,945.00 pa, plus superannuation and leave loading
Your role
The Senior Project Officer plays a key role within the Conduct Unit by managing and coordinating the delivery of complex projects from development through to implementation and evaluation. You drive projects that support Conduct objectives and help to improve operational effectiveness. This is a great opportunity for a candidate to lead impactful initiatives, build project management expertise, and contribute to meaningful outcomes within a dynamic and integrity‑focused environment.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Project Officer you will lead and deliver a range of projects within the Conduct Unit, overseeing planning, development and implementation to ensure outcomes are achieved on time, within scope, budget and quality standards. You’ll manage resources, budgets and reporting requirements, while building strong stakeholder relationships through effective communication and issue resolution. Day-to-day, you will monitor project progress, risks and outcomes, lead project teams to meet key milestones, and provide advice on emerging issues. You will also undertake research and analysis to support evidence-based decision-making and continuous project improvement.
In the Conduct Unit, you will be part of a dedicated team that works to uphold the values and ethics of DCJ. The team works to support all staff and the broader People Branch and ensure that all DCJ staff provide the highest level of service to all clients, including the most vulnerable members of the NSW community.
What we’re looking for
In addition to the essential requirements outlined in the role description, the ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex projects, applying project management methodologies, and delivering outcomes. They will be a strong communicator and relationship builder, able to engage, influence and negotiate effectively. Experience in leading teams, undertaking research and analysis, and translating insights into practical, evidence-based recommendations will be highly regarded.
