Senior Project Officer

  • Location – Parramatta with 50% hybrid WFH
  • Employment type – Ongoing, Full-time position
  • Salary – Clerk Grade 9/10 $129,464 - $ $142,665 pa plus employers’ contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

Homes NSW is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Project Officer to join the Tenant Satisfaction and Feedback team within the Maintenance Solutions Division.

This leadership role is responsible for driving strategic planning, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring efficient service delivery within the agency through the oversight of daily operations and team performance.

As the Senior Project Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring escalated complaints, Ministerials and client feedback regarding maintenance services are managed professionally, efficiently and within agreed timeframes.

What you’ll do

  • Oversee the triage, investigation and resolution of complaints and feedback matters relating to maintenance service provision.
  • Provide input & coordination to evidence-based expert advice and reporting to support informed business decisions.
  • Support and mentor team members to foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
  • Manage resources, budgets, assets, projects and staffing to maximise achievement of goals and business objectives.
  • Provide advice and support to project team members to support and facilitate effective project and work delivery consistent with the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Provide advice and support to staff on policies and procedures that impact on the operation of the business area.
  • Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
  • Coordination of tenant satisfaction surveys to support continuous improvement and service delivery outcomes
  • Conduct investigations and audits of contractor performance to ensure compliance with operational standards and KPI’s are met.

What we’re looking for

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience in complaint management and building maintenance
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, including advanced capability in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams in a high-volume complex environment
  • Well developed conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and change enablement.
